Make your own wicks are a great way to make homemade candles even more personal. It takes about five days, from beginning to end, make a party, but make your own wicks will save money in the long term. You may find that you need to make your own padlock if you do a particular novelty candle mold candles that you make at home.

When selecting a lock, remember to choose one that is of adequate size, and this can be a challenge when using strange mold. Start by measuring the diameter of your candle mold. The candles that are larger around a need to slightly thick locks. If you need a fuse thicker than those found in the craft store, just use a heavy string to match your own.

  1. First need warm place.
  2. Measure the height of your candle mold and add three inches to see how long your wick should be. Cut the string to the right length, and then bathe in the mixture for 15 minutes.
  3. Connect the cord to dry.
  4. Melt wax in double boiler and bathroom your wick, to begin with. Dip the wick again and again until completely saturated. You should see bubbles starting away from the wick when it is saturated. Use an old pair of tweezers to dip the fuse to not burn your fingers.
  5. Pull the wick and let cool enough so it's able to play without getting burned. Remove both ends of the wick so strong that the wick is fully stretched.
  6. Spread your game started on a piece of wax paper for several days until it is dry.
