Best Shopping Outside of the Mag Mile in Chicago?
I will of course be visiting the magnificent mile in Chicago on my upcoming shopping trip but wondered about areas of chicago such as armandt (sp) and wicker park.
Also, how do I get info on the free trolleys downtown?
I would like to stay within a 5 mile-ish radius of downtown, but yes Woodfield is great!
I’m not sure how far from downtown Chicago you’re looking for, but there’s a huge mall in Schaumburg called Woodfield Mall. There are a lot of different stores around that area, but it’s probably half an hour (or more with traffic) from downtown.
There’s also a fair amount of shopping on State Street south of the river (around Macy’s). Information on the free trolleys can be found at the 2nd link below. You might have to wait a little while to catch one, but if they’re going to the areas you want to see it’s worth it to save on parking!
