How close is the stage at the Orpheum Theater in SF?

I’m buying some tickets to go see Wicked in San Francisco at the Orpheum Theater, but I am having a hard time deciding whether to go with loge row A seats or center orchestra row A seats. I prefer the orchestra seats, but I want to be able to see everything on stage and I don’t want to feel like I’m looking up at the stage. Which seats are better?

I think I’ve helped someone else with the same theatre. Anyways I would recommend the mezzanine seats and not the orchestra seats. The front rows of the mezzanine should have a very good view of the stage and you won’t have to look up. The mezzanine sheets are also sometimes called the best seats in the house. With the orchestra seats you’ll probably be looking up then entire time which can hurt. You also might miss something that happens upstage. Have you looked at the seating chart online yet? If not you might do that too.

I saw Wicked at the Paramount theatre in Seattle and was in the back of the house and couldn’t see anything. There is a dragon thing at the top of the Proscenium that moves during several scenes that we couldn’t see. Its a very good show.
