What smells like honey and is an all natural wax? Beeswax is all natural and made by honey bees. Beeswax smells very good and it burns longer and brighter than its paraffin counterpart. It’s also the easiest wax to work with because you don’t need heat to melt it. You’ll need a few basic supplies to get started:
* scissors * beeswax *cotton wick about half an inch longer than the beeswax sheet.
Next you’ll want to follow these steps to create your beautiful candle:
1. Fold a sheet of beeswax in half and flatten it along the fold with your hands 2. Cut the sheet in half with your scissors 3. Lay a piece of beeswax on a flat and clean surface. 4. Place the wick on the edge of the beeswax. The wick should extend past both sides of the piece of beeswax. 5. Slowly and carefully start to roll the piece of beeswax over the wick 6. Make sure to tuck the edge of the beeswax in and around the wick to seal it. 7. Roll until you get to about two inches to the end. 8. Once you get about two inches from the end, you’ll want to slow down and roll tightly. Once you get to the end, you can use your body heat to soften the edge and press down and seal the candle. Don’t press too hard or you’ll crack the candle. 9. After rolling, trim the wick at one end so it is flush with the base of the candle. Trim the wick on the other end to about a quarter inch long.
