Folding Pool
I am installing an above ground pool liner, and need help folding the return hem without wrinkles?
We can get it straight at first, but when we get to the first leg it starts to wrinkle and we can’t seem to get it straight.
It’s a battle. We used big plastic clamps to temporarily hold up the liner all the way around, then went back and kept straightening it up as it initially filled. After about 6 inches of water, nothing works – so we put on the chine and upper rail.
Hemmed pools aren’t the neatest way to do it, the better pools now have a J-hook and different chine to hold it down. It’s a matter of cost on the market, and we didn’t want to pay for a $1200 above ground.
