What is the difference in your Spiritual understanding in Ecstasy or Rapture & Bliss?

Rapture as in the emotion not the event please.
I am curious how Ecstasy or Rapture as in the Ecstasy of St. Theresa of the “Interior Castle” & the Bliss of which the Buddhists & others write & speak differ.
Thank You for answering!
Many Blessings!

I’m not sure about ecstasy, but Bliss and Rapture are 2 of the 5 component factors of the first Jhana or “absorption” in Buddhist meditation. Bliss (“Sukha”) or happiness is the calm feeling of well-being and ease that most of us also know from other contexts. Rapture (“Piti”) is the more intense “hair-standing-on-end” feeling of thrill, which is usually more short-lived.

Ecstasy literally means to stand outside oneself, but is not a term that relates to Buddhism all that easily.
